Rock painting |
Rock in the clearing |
These are photos of a giant rock in the middle of the woods. This was taken in the Honey Creek woods. I chose this composition because it made it look really nice because of the side strokes that follow the direction of the light. These were tough to take because light from the sun was making the photos too bright and I couldn't capture the actual photo, I just kept getting photos that looked like a few trees with no leaves. I fixed this by placing my hand above the camera to block the sun, but not close enough to the camera that my hand is in it.
pond in the background |
fall pond |
These photos are of a pond. It was taken at the pond where Honey Creek runs into. I chose this composition because it made it look like a painting, but it still left detail but at the same time blurs out the muddy ground. I was trying to invoke a bright happy mood because it looks like a nice place to just sit my the pond and think happily. I had trouble with this because it was dark underneath the trees, so when I edited this I had to make the brightness higher.
overgrown |
tall grass clearing |
This is a clearing. It is again around Honey Creek. I chose this composition because it made it look kind of savannah tall grass like. I was trying to invoke beauty because I think that a savannah looks pretty even though this is just a clearing with dry overgrown grass and weeds in the woods. It was tough to take because i had to turn my body in the right direction so that the sun wouldn't create a glare on my camera.
underneath tree, above pond |
tree reflected |
This is a few photos of a tree reflecting on the pond. It's in Honey Creek. I chose this composition because it makes it look like a painting by Monet or something. It was hard to take a photo like this without getting the weeds in the photo because they were all overgrown on the side of the pond. I also had trouble because the water had many things like leaves sitting on ti making the photo look more polluted.
sky and tree reflection |
hanging overtop |
These are photos of a tree handing over the side of the pond. I took them in Honey creek. I like this photo because it looks like something from some calm movie scene. I chose the composition because it didn't blur it too much but it also looks realistic. It was hard to take because I was leaning over the pond to get this angle and I didn't want to drop my phone or fall in.
